After his squad was defeated by the Portugal national team in Qatar, Ghana’s National Team Coach Otto Addo let loose with some harsh criticism of his players.
In a tight World Cup encounter from “Group H,” the Black Stars were defeated by the Portuguese team by a score of 3-2.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the talisman of Portugal, opened the scoring with a controversial penalty kick in the 65th minute of their inaugural match after the two teams had played the first 45 minutes of their game to a draw.
Andre Dede Ayew, Ghana’s captain, scored a goal to get his team within one before Ghana recklessly allowed two more goals to be scored.
In the meantime, during a press conference held after the game, the manager of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, accused the center referee of giving Cristiano the initial goal, which was a penalty kick that was hotly contested.
The former player for the Black Stars, who is now coaching the team, stated that he is all for people who score goals, but that the referee gave Ronaldo’s goal to him as a present.
Otto Addo agrees with the assessment that the referee, Ismail Elfath, made a mistake when he awarded a penalty and the criticism that has been leveled against him on social media.

He was the Man of the Match in the game between Ghana and Portugal.
This man does not deserve to officiate any other match at the #FIFAWorldCup
