Janet Asibi aka Ama Val, a young lady who has taken it upon herself to sew free uniforms despite performing her national service, has earned hearts with her benovolent actions.
When the lady assigned to teach at Bono East saw that many of the students’ uniforms were ripped, she went out and bought a sewing machine to fix the issue.
Ama Val sews uniforms for other schools in the city for free using her national service grant and other contributions.
Ama Val, who is really enthusiastic, needs to raise funds so that the project can be expanded to include any disadvantaged Ghanaian student.
She saw seeking answers to this problem as a joint obligation, so she used her personal funds and the help of friends and loved ones to knit new school uniforms for each and every child in need.
School uniform per child usually costs her 50 Ghana cedis and often less depending on the school.
